At the end of July, students of the multidisciplinary Quest project presented their final results for the 'Potential of smart charging at the Living Lab Bunnik'. Six students from the third year of the Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering courses at the Hogeschool Utrecht worked together over the past 20 weeks to write an advice about the potential of smart charging and V2G. This advice is supported by a simulation that provides insight into the potential of smart charging.
Christina Papachristou deminstrates that Dutch offices could contribute 14+GWh of flexibility to the energy grid. This can be achieved with buffering of thermal mass which can also increase the comfort levels of buildings. Flexible demand can have a huge role in the energy transition. The goal of TROEF is to make it possible for buildings and offices to take part in this energy ecosystem.
