Are you a resident of a Zero-on-the-Meter home?
As a resident of a Zero-on-the-Meter home, you heat your home with a heat pump. By participating in TROEF Neighborhood Energy, you can opt for smart control of your heat pump. With smart control, the heat pump can produce hot water in an energy-efficient way. This allows you to save up to 15% of your domestic hot water energy consumption. Using less generated energy yourself means returning more solar energy to the grid. The result of this 'offsetting' can be found on the annual settlement of your energy supplier. You can also participate in TROEF Buurtenergie without smart control of the heat pump. The TROEF Buurtenergie web portal is added to every participant in a Zero-on-the-Meter home as part of your current dashboard. The TROEF Buurtenergie web portal consists of a dashboard and the TROEF Buurtenergie game.
The dashboard gives you insight into:
- how much sustainable neighborhood energy you have used
- how well the neighborhood performs in sharing energy with each other
- how well you perform in the use of sustainable neighborhood energy compared to your neighbourhood
